AspenRidge Recovery Overview
AspenRidge Recovery is a minimum 90-Day drug and alcohol treatment program located in Lakewood, Colorado. We take a co-occurring treatment approach, treating both addiction and mental health issues. Our therapy involves six hours of direct therapeutic support a day for the first sixty days of treatment. Here our clients will process their emotions and experiences, learn skills to abstain from drugs and alcohol, and be exposed to a multitude of therapeutic interventions from cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), to dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT) to somatic experiencing trauma therapy (SE), to name a few.
Outside of clinical hours, clients live in well-appointed and comfortable houses in the Lakewood area. Our hope is that our clients will truly feel at home for the duration of their treatment so as to feel comfortable during their early recovery. We also bring our clients to the gym regularly, where they can engage in aerobic exercise, weight lifting, boxing, yoga, rock climbing and more. Our clients go on weekly hikes, attend 12-Step meetings daily, and go to many sober community events as well. We also make sure that our clients have fun in sobriety, so the AspenRidge staff brings our clients to professional sporting events, movies, plays and on day trips.
At the end of the initial 60-day period, clients begin to transition. They continue to live in our housing and attend morning groups, but spend the rest of their days working on job skills, building resumes, finding employment, or applying to school if they so choose. Our goal here is to make sure that our clients are ready to take life by the horns by the time they have left our program.
